Hi, I’m Nina.
10 years ago, I ditched city life for a 5-acre homestead in rural Maine. I still dress like the guitar player for my band that never made it, but these days you’re more likely to find me rocking out with a fistful of dandelion greens than playing a gig at a Brooklyn dive bar.
I run around in the woods making weird music videos and hunting trout lily, sheep sorrel, and the occasional wild turkey. My family and I tend chickens, horses, cats, fruit trees, and an enormous garden. And we eat food. LOTS OF FOOD.
But, you don’t have to be like me to get into some wild grub.
Wherever you live, whatever you do, whoever you are…you can make wild food part of your life. I want to get you excited about wild food so you’ll be inspired to protect wild places.
WILD FOOD. GESTALT SEEKING. ROCK AND ROLL.

FORAGING FOR THE REST OF US
In this pocket-sized, “pre-field” guide, I share how I got my mind right and transitioned to “forager brain”—something I believe to be more essential than memorizing plant IDs and that anyone can mostly do before even setting foot outside.
You’ll also learn my methods for safely identifying wild foods, over-arching ideas for how to think about cooking and eating them, and my favorite resources.
I am your enthusiastic cheerleader who encourages you to get out there—no matter where you live or your life situation.

I dressed up as Eddie Munson for Halloween, so natch I learned to play the opening riff to Master of Puppets.
That one time I made the perfect mashup to open a B2B marketing conference.
Half our house burned down once, which provided the perfect video backdrop for this Bruce Springsteen cover.
Always wanted to cover this Ryan Adams song, so I did.
Always wanted to cover this Infamous Stringdusters song, so I did.
Oh and that one time I did a 3-part harmony sea shanty marketing parody…
For my “day job” as a B2B marketer, I like to write nerdy songs about data.
Vintage tune from my sometimes-band, Everything Is Fine.
This Def Leppard cover and video took me a year and a half to finish…
Impersonating Tom Jones was a challenge I couldn’t NOT accept.
I guess I have a thing for dressing up as my favorite rockstars for Halloween.
That time, I crashed my video editing program compiling 15+ marketers for a conference.
